Thanks, but I don’t have time to help you grow your photography portfolio. I need to work on this new project I am working on right now. I need to focus on that now. Oh and one more thing, you should really just go back to your normal life and forget about this project, that is just not happening. Yeah, yeah, I know, but it’s not as bad as it appears. I’ve gotten a few emails over the past few weeks from people who’ve been thinking the same thing. I don’t want to discourage any of you from trying to grow your photography portfolio, but I can’t help but notice that all the photography portfolios I’ve seen so far are very busy for one reason and one reason only: They have a lot of subscribers.
As I’ve said before, the majority of photography companies have a subscription model. The reason is simple: The majority of photographers want to make a living, so they want to be able to pay for their photography. Of course, that doesn’t mean you need to be a subscriber. If you are, you can just pay for your photography. But I don’t think that needs to be an obstacle to growing your photography.
When I see a new picture in my inbox I am immediately directed to the top-right-hand column, which lists all your photos and then I can see that you are getting the most out of them. So it’s easy to just click and see the top right-hand column. If your photo is a top of the page, you can click on the button that starts it to see all the photos. It is the most difficult thing to do if you are using a subscription.
The problem with subscribing for your photography is that it is a bit of a hassle. I had to subscribe to get the new picture. And the fact is that only subscribers are able to see the top right-hand column. So if you are a subscriber, you have to get creative in order to see the top right-hand column. I often start my posts with a big picture of the picture I want to share.
While it is fun to see the many different ways photographers can share their work, there is a bigger issue here – it is often difficult to find photographs of the people in their photographs. There are hundreds and hundreds of photographers. That doesn’t help. I often have to search through thousands of photos to find one. Often, when you do, the images are of people who are not there in the photo. This is not helping you.
Sure, if there is a big picture of the person in question, it might be easier to find that person in the photographs. But if you are looking for a photo of the person in question, there are hundreds and thousands of photographs of the person. In the olden days, it would have been easy to search through hundreds of thousands of photographs to find the one you wanted. Now it takes searching through hundreds of thousands of photographs to find that one photo. This is not helping you either.
