I recently bought a new home, so my new home has two stories, and one foyer. The foyer is my favorite room for entertaining and my favorite room to go to rest, and for that I have a few lighting choices. I chose two different wall arrangements for the new home. One is an a-cubic-foot wall behind the staircase that can be changed to a more traditional ceiling height.
I’m not sure why, but I found it more interesting that night to change the foyer lighting to a “double-pane” wall. I guess the idea is that it looks more modern and less like an old-fashioned foyer.
I don’t know if I was surprised that the wall behind the staircase was double-pane, or that I didn’t notice it until the next day, but it made the space feel more spacious. I also liked the idea of the wall separating the foyer from the dining room – it made the space feel a bit more open.
Now it’s a little surprising that I didnt notice the double-pane wall behind the staircase in the first place. Perhaps I was distracted by the new lighting, or perhaps I was just too lazy to notice. The new light, however, is a nice touch. And the staircase lighting is a nice touch as well.
I also like the idea of the new light on the staircases. It’s a little bit bold, but it brings more light to the entire staircase, which is a good thing.

It’s not as easy an adjustment as it sounds.
That’s not the only adjustment you have to make. The camera angle has to match the height of the light stand (and in this case, it’s pretty close). The angle can take a little bit more creative work, but it’s doable.
